Pennsville Soccer Association - Fall 2019 In-Town Programs.
Registration is open for Fall 2019.

1. The PSA Fall In-Town Programs will be a combination of instruction and match play every week. We will continue to separate the children by age/grade level to the greatest extent practicable and we will consider requests from families with children playing in multiple age groups. Older children are considered on a case by case basis. The season lasts eight weeks and practices start the week of September 6th and finishes November the 8th.   No matches/sessions will be scheduled on Columbus Day Weekend.  The Super Raffle (Mandatory Fundraiser) requires each family to sell fifteen (15) $10 Raffle Tickets or do a $100 buyout.  A $50 Snack Stand Attendence deposit is also required.  Your check will be returned when you perform your assigned stand duty.

2. Our 2019 Fall U6/U5/U4 (Birth Year 2014 and younger) program will be a combination of instruction, followed by instructional skill development games.  The children will be divided into individual, age appropriate groups (for instructional purposes), each with its’ own coach/manager. We anticipate that the sessions will be held on Saturdays, from 9 to 11 AM.  Parents, please plan to join your player on the field for the instructional portion of the session. Your child will have more fun (and will learn more). You’ll have fun too. Registration cost is $50 per child and includes a PSA T-Shirt.

3. Our Fall 2019 U8/U7 (Birth Year 2012 and 2013) program will be a combination of weekly instruction, and small sided matches every week.  The children will be divided into individual, age appropriate groups (for instructional purposes), each with its’ own coach/manager. The children will practice one night each week (day/time TBD by the individual coach) and play an additional 40-minute match against other teams under the Friday Night Lights.  Registration cost is $65 per child and includes a PSA T-Shirt.

3. Our Fall 2019 Local Travel for U10/U9 (Birth Years 2009 to 2011) program will include a dedicated, instructional practice session for small sided play (7v7 including a keeper). Weekly practices will be established (day/time TBD by the individual coach) and the children will participate in 7v7 matches match each week. Matches will be played both inter-squad and with neighboring communities. Currently the participating communities are Franklinville, Harrison, South Harrison, Swedesboro and Woodstown. Matches consist of two 25-minute times and will be divided between home and away. Matches are played on Saturday mornings, usually at 10AM. The goal of Local Travel Transition is to improve individual player skills, introduce positional awareness, and familiarize players with the specific responsibilities of the Keeper (goalie) as the players move from 4v4 developmental play to 7v7 Travel Soccer. Registration cost is $80 per child and includes a PSA T-Shirt.

4. PSA needs coach/manager volunteers for all age groups. No soccer experience is necessary. PSA will provide the individual practice plans to the coach/managers and will provide additional instruction for those new to, or relearning the Game. PSA has a good library of instructional videos and manuals. We will loan these out to our coaches so they can view and become comfortable with the individual skills, drills, and techniques that are part of youth soccer development. At these ages the coach/manager needs a willingness to assist the children, tie an occasional shoelace, and always encourage them to have fun.
